Is there such a thing? If so I think I might qualify. This morning was no different than usual, Paige whining and having a temper tantrum at some point before we leave the house. Today it lasted- oh about 45 minutes. It started when she wanted to get her clothes picked out and on by herself. I love when she does that so no problem there, however she gets frustrated really easily and when she couldn't get her shirt on right she got very mad and had to take it off several times and if I tired to help she would just flip. So that started it off then from there went all the "no's" and backtalk to me and the hitting me started as well. So it's "time out" time which didn't go well either and she just continued to say no and hit me. I admit that I totally lost my cool and started yelling at her. I hate doing that but I can only take so much. We were 10 minutes late for school, hair combed but could have looked better, no time to brush her teeth and to top it all off I forgot that it was picture day. So - I ordered the smallest package and hope they don't turn out that bad since we didn't prepare. Oh and the smallest package was 27.50 - ridiculous how much things cost at schools now a days.
I hope she has a good time and I pick up a much happier Paige from class today, but usually she is tired, hungry and generally cranky when I pick her up. One day at a time - right :)
Maybe I better start the good girls get presents from santa talk :0)

Don't be hard on yourself. I think you deserve a "normal mom award." Temper tantrums happen - unfortunately. It's all par for the course, and we can only do so much. Someday we'll look back on this and laugh... right? Right??!
