Camping in Amicon Falls in WI

We camped just outside of Superior, Wi on Sat. Had a family reunion for the Lier's in Superior and Dave wanted to squeeze in some camping with the girls. When I say squeeze I mean we got to the camp ground at 5:20 pm Sat. and pulled out at 8:00 am Sun. We had to be back for a birthday party the girls were going to and I had to be to work at noon. Well, Dave got pulled over on the way home for not moving to the left lane when passing an emergency vehicle. Apparently that is a law in WI and MN and we happened to pass the officier that had been hit by a passing car before. So needless to say the girls were a little late to the party. We just got a warning thank goodness the fine is $276.

We did not pack as prepared as we should have. Stopped to buy warm socks to wear with my capri pants and sandals - stylish. Good thing they came in a 2 pack, Dave needed some too.

The girls really had fun, they LOVE the camper and thought it was great to explore

Addy had to copy everything Paige did, she usually does but look at the picture. Her hands fell out of her pockets and she wanted them just like Paige. On our little hike she was just three steps behind and walked and acted exactly the same as Paige.

That is Dave's free truck camper that he got last year you all have heard about. He had to do some fixing but it is not too bad.

A quick breakfast in the morning, we had to eat inside because everything outside was soaked. I don't even think it rained it was just really moist and dewy out.
Dave and I are on Vacation for the next 4 days, the first time in seven years that we have been away without someone else coming along. Weird. We are both really looking forward to it. We are going to the North Shore, compliments of Jodi (Dave's Mom) & Ed for our christmas present last year. We are bringing our bikes and planning on hiking quite a bit. Neither one of us has been there before. Hoping for good weather!! The girls will be playing musical relatives but I am sure they will have fun too.
