Well, needless to say we have been really busy since September. Had 3 weddings in that time, all very lovely and we hadn't been to any weddings in almost a year so it was a welcome change. The last one was just last Sunday and Paige and Addy came along on that one. Paige was very excited because she has never been to a wedding but has sure heard alot about them. It was a nice wedding, however it wasn't the traditional wedding. It was at Rush Creek in Maple Grove - which if you recall is where Dave and I had our reception. It was in half of the main room - the funny thing is Paige walkd into where the ceremony was and she says - Wow - it is goregous. Where does she get this stuff? Goregous - really - cutie. They had so much fun, it was nice to be able to bring them along for a change.
I have been in a cleaning frenzie, at least it feels like it becuase my house doesn't seem to reflect it. I have been cleaning the closets and then cleaning them again. Every week I have been making an effort to stay home on one of my days off and cleaning the house or doing a household project. You would think that I would have everything done but my windows are still filthly, floors are dirty, clothes need to be put away, can't move in the crawl space - so much stuff. I am about ready to through in the towel. I swear it seems like my house is dirtier then before and gets dirtier faster.
Addy Jo, is talking quite alot. I seem to be the only one who can really understand her. She says some words very clearly and is using more words every day. She has been going tinkle in the potty the last three nights voluntarily and is so proud of herself. She seems so big, she is wearing all of Paige's clothes from last winter and I am not sure they will last all winter. She is such a character and I just enjoy her so much.
Paige and I went shopping last night together to get her some new clothes. You might think I am crazy taking a 4 year old shopping for clothes. However, Paige really likes to shop - surprise :) Here is the problem. I never know what she is going to want to wear. She picks out her clothes everyday and sometimes they really don't match but if they are close enough I let it slide. She has all skirts and tights to wear, which is fine and that is all she would wear everyday but there are instances that she needs pants. With her going to Discovery days (which is a school program) 3 days a week, she needs things that she can play, get dirty, get on and off herself, etc. So we had a little pep talk about going shopping and that we were going for some pants outfits and that we have to agree on what to buy. I know it seems like I am giving her to much choice but I have learned that if she is not involved in the decision then it is just money down the tubes because she will not wear it. We also bought her outfits instead of the mix and match option - although everything she picks out is pink or purple so they will still mix and match - so she knows what to wear with what. It went so well, she even tried everything on in the fitting room, not one fight or meltdown. We got a ton of things and she is set for awhile. The whole way home in the car she sang me a song that she was making up and she was singing. I really think she actually has a future in song writing. The song was all about how she loved her darling mom in her heart. It was so incredibly sweet, I had tears in my eyes when we got home. Paige really is a caring and so compassionate person. Love that little tootie!
