This is a cute story from christmas that I wanted to share and haven't had time to write. We were at xmas eve with Dave's Dad (Don), Iris, Tara, Karen and the family. Don was asking Paige what she wants to be when she grows up. He was listing off several different options - you know a doctor, an astronaut, a writer,....etc. You know the drill the list could go on forever with endless possiblities :) Paige just kept saying no papa (she calls him papa Don). Then she finally says with annoyance. "No Papa - I am just going to be Paigy." She repeated that a few times like it was such a simple answer and why would she want to be anything else. I thought that was a great answer. Isn't that the right answer?!? I think it really is just that simple and we make it sooo much more complicated than it needs to be - life that is. I asked her again the next day what she wanted to be and her answer was just the same - "I am just going to be Paigy".
I am so proud of her - what a smart cookie! Her reply would be "I am not a cookie mom, I am a big girl" Okay Paige what a smart big girl :)
