I don't know why I do it to myself, every year December is so busy for everyone and I tell myself just get through it and you can relax in January. WRONG I seem to always be really busy in January. Does this happen to anyone else?? I guess I got to relax last weekend, that should be enough but it is not. Most of the things I am doing are for fun, so I guess I do it to myself. All of you reading this who know me well enough are nodding your heads because you know I do it to myself :) Anyway, last week Dave and I went out on our 2nd official date since christmas. For one of my presents Dave set up four dates for us in the new year one a month. I was thrilled with this gift. He went ahead and picked everything out, set the date, and lined up the babysitter (thanks Karen - I guess this gift is from her too:) The first one was New Years, we went out for Dinner at Buca and to some friends to play games and ring in the New Year. It was fun and the fact that it was considered an "Official date" made it even more fun - silly really. So Date 2 was out for dinner at old chicago and on to a movie, which is my favorite and I think we are down to like 2 a year now a days. Date 3 is next month to the art institute and out for happy hour after downtown. Sounds like fun I can't wait.
Friday I also got to us another one of the presents Dave gave me for christmas which was 3 scrap mania's at Archivers. For those of you that don't know it is a scrapbooking store and they have Mania's Fri. and Sat. nights from 5-11. I like to go because it is long enough to get some things done. I also don't get to go very often and I am only to christmas of Paige's first year - so needless to say I am a little behind. I get to go Jan. Feb. and March. I did that on Friday night and enjoyed myself. I just need to make more time for it. If anyone would like to join me ever, I would love it - let me know. I came away from christmas with 7 dates already lined up and it is soo fun.
Saturday, Dave went jeeping with his club all day. The jeep was broken before noon -Mission accomplished. Dave really seemed to have enjoyed himself and that is what counts I guess. He always finds some way to fix it but I think it will be parked in the garage for awhile. Then the Jeep club had the annual banquet at the Hudson House, I met a new couple and it was nice visiting with them.
Sunday, Jodi and Ed came over to visit and I ran out to do some shopping and errands. - See right there I guess I could have rested, oh well.
We have 4 seminars coming up at work in the next two weeks and it will be busy and mean I have to work a few nights.
One day and a time and before you know it Feburary will be here. Maybe I can relax in Feb. :)

You must really have a great husband to set up all those fun dates for you! I bet he loves you very much ;-)
And for the record the mission was not to break the Jeep - in fact that is never the mission regardless of what actually happens!
Hmm, that "anonymous" seems to have some inside scoop on things. I can't imagine who it could be!
Nik, I know just what you mean. When I do those shows, I always think I can relax when they're done but I always get crazy busy... I think it's because of all the little things I put off until the "big thing" is over!
See you Sunday...
When is your next scrap mania night? Maybe I can join you and be busy, too.
Oh, and yes, you DO always do it to yourself. :-)
I am signed up for Feb. 10th, not sure what table and I will be signing up for March 10th as well.
I think that anonymous seems a little to defensive... hmmmm
