Running from one thing to the next....

A little catch up, my dad is doing fine. He had surgery to put a screw in his lower leg last Mon. and should be on the road to recovery. He is very tired on having a taxi service.

Iris is recovery nicely, she has been very tired. They said it can take up to 6 weeks after a surgery to feel better. I think it has been 4 weeks so hopefully with spring around the corner she will feel back to herself again.

We have been busy around here as usual. Paige was off of school for a few days so we went to the children's musuem and visited a few people. There are so many more people we need to get to for a visit. School is out at the end of May so we will get to play with everyone over the summer - I hope. It will be weird to have Tues. and Thurs. back over the summer.

Last weekend we went to Fargo to visit with some college friends. Everyone has at least 2 kids. 14 adults and 16 kids. We all had rooms next to each other at the holiday inn. It was nice to see everyone but really hard to visit with all the kids that were demanding our attention. Paige was so excited to go to Fargo, she didn't stop talking about it all week. Everyone who has been to Fargo was wondering what all the excitement was about. It was a fun little adventure though. We sayed Fri. night at my sisters just outside of Alexandria. Briefly saw the animals on the farm, man my kids are really not fond of the farm animals - yet anyway. I am afraid we have a couple of city girls on our hands. On Sat. we headed for Fargo, needless to say we didn't get there until 2pm and I was disappointed. However, it worked out fine because I discovered that had we gotten there any earlier I would have just had to spend more time in the freezing cold pool. Sun. there was time for swimming and a visit to Dave's aunt's house for lunch and were home in time for bed. We bought some dvd players for the car and that was a lifesaver. It was a really enjoyable weekend. We discovered that Addy isn't fond of the pool either, she would rather just stand on the side and shiver then come in. She has always been a little spoked out by the pool, I think it is the loud noise's and crazy kids jumping all over. Paige on the other hand just puts on the lifejacket and away she goes, down the slides, swims over to the side and does it all over again and again and again....

This afternoon we are going to get Addy's 18 month picture taken. Only a month late. I really didn't get them taken at a year. I am for sure being the bad mom who definetly doesn't have as many pictures of the second one. I said I wouldn't do it but I have. Paige is coming with to help but she is rather upset to not get her picture taken as well. I am sure it will be an interesting time. I will try to post the pictures if I can.

Everyone has been asking about Dave and his cars, he hasn't gotten a new one in a month now. Well see, I know he is itching to get something.

I have been keeping busy wearing my many, many, way to many hats. I could do them all just a little better, much better if you ask my husband. I have done about 6 house calls now and that has been fun, forming the relationships and getting excited about the projects.

Well tata for now.
