Iris was moved out of intensive care late Weds. night. She is recovering nicely and will hopefully be able to go home by Sunday. We went and visited on Tues. night and she was alert and had a good sense of humor. Paige was pretty upset because you had to be 10 to go into the ICU rooms. She just could stand in the hallway and say hi. So the rest of the night she kept asking everyone if they were 10. It was sweet. Don't tell anyone but she did run in real quick one time and said "I love you" and ran out.
One quick sode note on Paige. She has been on the - what I am going to be when I grow up kick. It used to be that she was just going to be Paige when she grows up but lately it has been actual things. A couple of weeks ago it was a ballerina but the last week or so it is a cheerleader. So last night I asked her to do a cheer for me. She insisted that cheerleaders just march, wear cheerleader outfits, carry pom poms and don't say anything. She didn't believe me when I told her why they are called cheerleaders. She just said Na-ahh. Which is her new thing - Na-ahh. The whole conversation actually started when I was trying to explain that kitty's grow up to be cats. And her response was "no kitty's can be anything they want when they grow up, like a cheerleader." Kids are so darn cute. The funniest part is that she is so sure about her answers, which is great but just darn cute.
