So this week I will be signing my little Paigy up for Preschool. I think. Sign up starts early for Sept. If we go through the school district then sign up is this week. I may check on a few other ones just to be sure. Paige will be 3 on Aug. 30th and the cut off of is Sept. 1st. to be able to start. So I am concerned that she is to young. It is a tough battle, I know that she is currently ahead of her peers in alot of areas however I don't want to rush her into anything. I guess that I know in my heart that she is ready for it and will just love and thrive at it. It's not like they will be giving her final exams or anything but it must be the idea that it is school twice a week. She is growing up so fast. I am not sure if she is more excited for school or actually that she might be able to ride the school bus. She wasn't happy to hear that I would be drving her to school.
One day she told me that she was going to drop me off at grandma's and go to school with all her friends for the day. But don't worry mom I will pick you up - she says. She is sure a character and I am so proud of her.
I told my mom shortly after Paige was born that I was working on letting go already and she thought I was crazy I think. I had to let go so she could learn to crawl and walk and fall and flourish. And this too is just part of the process of letting go. So I will go and sign my baby up for preschool. The only good part is I LOVE back to school shopping. Do you think preschool counts? :)

Nikki - you crack me up. I have to share this... the other night Josie was racing around the house behind her activity walker, and she looked like a woman on a mission behind a shopping cart. I told her she must be getting in shape to keep up with Auntie Nikki in the stores! She always has had an affection for running her hands through the racks of clothes in the store - I'll have to send her shopping with you and Paige sometime since I don't have much patience for it, myself!
She'll love it, Nikki and so will you! Annie had her first year of PS this year through our school district- starting right before turning three and it has been so wonderful for her. Her first day was bittersweet for me.....but seriously, it was something she needed.
