Back to the regularly scheduled programming..

So what's new besides these crazy weight loss contests that I have been heading up?? We have 19 people buy the way - pretty cool everyone getting healthy.

The girls are great and amazing and so grown up! Paige is all set to start all day kindergarten next year. We had gotten put on the wait list but thank goodness we are already off of it and into the program. I had been second guessing myself because Paige will be 5 only a day before the cut off but I know she is ready. It is all the other people that tell me they wish they would have held their child back. Or the ones that are justifying why their children aren't going that make me feel like I am doing the wrong thing. But I am sticking with my instincts on this one and she is going. We did have conferences with her Preschool teacher on Weds. night and she reassured us that Paige is defintely ready for Kindergarten - so that helped me feel better. I just really love going and seeing the progress she has made thoughout the year. Dave and I were talking on the way there and we thought what could she have possibly improved on. It is really amazing to see the progress through the year, there was definetly so much she accomplished. Ms. Julie - her preschool teacher was telling us how helpful, and caring she is to the other kids that need help in the classroom or getting their coats on. She participates in class, raises her hand and waits to be called on, shares and plays nicely with the other children. She is definently a ring leader. It makes me feel such a sense of pride to hear she is so caring and thoughtful when I am not there telling her to be. She really is such a good person. Paige has so many friends that she likes to keep up with - I think this is going to just get harder. She is obessed with the neighbor girl at the moment. Since the weather has turned nice Paige and Addy but especially Paige are keeping track of when there are cars at their house and exactly what days Elena - the neighbor goes to daycare, what time she comes home each day. It is great that they have a playmate - however the constant asking is wearing. It is just the next phase and I have to adapt to this one too. The only thing I have been able to count on is that things are going change.

Adelynn is talking away. She is LOVING the weather and has been able to pedal the big bikes. She may be getting her August birthday present early - like in May - a new bike. We'll see Dave will probably pick her up one for free somewhere. Addy likes to rise and shine between 6:30 and 7:00 am. She is really a morning person and we are all really not. Dave is close but he likes to lounge around in the morning like the rest of us (me and Paige). Not Addy, upon waking up she puts in her order for breakfast. Somedays it is eggs, toast with peanut butter and yogurt. Other days - pancakes w/ syrup always yogurt is on the list. It changes all the time, it can include bananas, cereal, sausage, english muffin, bagels, etc. She really likes breakfast and I just find it funny that it is never the same thing day after day. Then she wants to get her clothes on and she wants them on before she has her breakfast. We usually make her hang out for awhile but she has no interest in lounging in her jammies. I really don't know where she got this trait - not from us. We really like our jammies - all day if possible. Addy is signed up for preschool next year. She is talking better everyday so I think her speech should be pretty good. We really need to hit the potty training. I am confident that we will have her potty trained by then (Sept.). We are working on getting rid of the nukie. As of last weekend Dave made the rule that she can only have it at nap and bedtime. She is doing pretty good, but there are times that she definetly has stress from not having it. I think she is doing her best to work through it. I have caught her trying to sneak a suck here and there but she knows better and puts it away.

Thanks for catching up - talk soon
