This just in....

Here is the info for the 3-day. They don't tell us our exact route but here is a general outline. You can tell from the cheering stations that we start in Coon Rapids and walk thru fridley and shoreview, over to lake phalen, St. Paul and Maplewood and somehow back to Minneapolis to Boom island. All on foot - all in 3 days. I am getting really excited!!! Went for a nice long walk this morning. I am going to take Dave along tomorrow to Calhoun for a 9.5 mile walk for a date. Should be nice. Sat. I have a nice 11-12 mile walk planned. Sad news is that they should be 18 mile walks but I just don't have the time for those. I am cramming for this 60 miles walk like a college exam. So come cheer us on at one of the stations if you are free next weekend Fri, Sat or Sun. This weekend is Adelynn's birthday 2 years old and she gets more adorable everyday!

The Route
Day 1 You’ll kick off the 2007 Twin Cities Breast Cancer 3-Day in Coon Rapids and enjoy some of the magnificent trail systems along the Mississippi River. Continuing on your journey, you’ll find yourself along various roads, enjoying the scenery that each has to offer.

Day 2 Trails, trails and more trails is the theme for this day. Each path has something special to offer - peaceful shady stretches, dramatic views of St. Paul and tranquil walks along Phalen Lake. At every turn, you’ll find an opportunity to take in the natural setting of the area and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Day 3 The final day of the event will begin on a trail heading towards our Closing Ceremonies location at Boom Island Park. This day, although different from years past, will provide similar views in many ways. Passing the capital (make sure you don’t stop, thinking you’re at the end!), taking in the historical estates on Summit Ave. and again viewing the Mississippi River will lead you to the final destination at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis.
